      Sample Experience

  • Wrote, introduced, lobbied, and successfully passed House Bill 3170 in 2017 to expand collective bargaining rights for research faculty at Oregon's public universities. 

  • Authored numerous policy and legal analysis papers on issues such as enterprise zones, landlord-tenant laws, open  meetings laws, local environmental and housing ordinances, and employment laws.

  • Served on steering committees for numerous statewide ballot measure campaigns and legislative advocacy coalitions. 

  • Wrote, introduced, lobbied, and successfully passed the Oregon Plain Language Act (House Bill 2702) into law in the Oregon Legislature in 2007, helping to train State employees to communicate more efficiently and effectively with taxpayers to reduce confusion and waste.

  • Advised, managed, and volunteered on dozens of political campaigns for candidates for local, state, and federal elected office.
